To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the International One-Design, the World Class Association (with the help of generous benefactors) has commissioned Concepts Publishing, Inc., a small publishing house specializing in nautical publications, to produce a commemorative book.

"The Saga of the International One-Design" will be a stunning large-format coffee table book, consisting of hundreds of photographs from the many years of sailing and racing IODs, as well as drawings and other graphics.  The comprehensive text will include:
  • An exhaustive history of the class, with descriptions of all the individual fleets; 
  • Sections of a technical nature, and; 
  • Anecdotes from class members past and present.  
Class rules, a roster of existing boats, and similar information will form a section of appendices.

The book will be published in 2012 and can be pre-ordered at a very special pre-publication price of $50 (well below the retail price of $65) directly from this website.  This offer is valid through December 31, 2011.
